We often underestimate the importance of handyman such as locksmiths. In a tricky situation when we are locked out of our apartments or have a broken door or have any security issue when it comes to doors, locksmiths can prove to be of great importance. In fact over the last few years after having one or two incidents where I lost my keys I left them inside the house I called locksmiths who are nearby. Now I have saved their numbers and if a friend who has lock them selves out or needs another solution for their doors, they open contact me for my list of handyman such as locksmiths.

I wants had a tenant who was about to move out. On the day that she had to move out, I was not able to visit the apartment. But she informed me that she had left everything in good order and I should not be worried. A month later I went to visit the apartment and I saw that the doors lock had been removed leaving a big hole. I wondered why someone would do that. Why would someone take out the lock from the door. I thought maybe she was unable to open the door one day with the keys or maybe there was a robbery or maybe she just left her keys inside. I called her and asked her why she left a hole in the door and did not tell me anything about it. She said it was not really her and that it was the locksmith who had come to fix the door. It made no sense to me as to why a locksmith would come and take out the lock but not put it back. Also any such changes should have ideally gone through me. I was really confused and the tenant or rather the former tenant had no answer. So I asked her which locksmith did she call. She said it was the one who lives nearby. She said she had to go and hung up the phone on me. I have owned that apartment for six years no so I knew all the handyman in the area. I immediately called the locksmith I knew who lives nearby. He answered the phone promptly. I asked him if he had visited my house in the recent past. He said definitely not but let me ask my team of locksmiths. So he asked them and nobody had come around my house to fix the lock. At that moment I hung up the phone and examined the broken door. It seemed as if the lock had actually been pulled out of the door. It was the strangest thing ever. Although I could’ve called the tenant back and told her that her story doesn’t really match to the locksmiths, I decided not to do that. I have to give the apartment to another lady on rent and I cannot give her one with the broken lock. So I called the locksmith again and I asked him if he can come to my house right away. He did and I showed him the broken door. I was right. The locksmith Took just one look at the door and he said yes that lock has been pulled out but he also did not understand why someone would do that. But the locksmith told me not to worry as he had solution for this problem. He immediately took out the tools from his kit and fixed the gaping hole in the door. He also give me a discount on the full price as he was certain that I had not really done that. For this reason I really like the locksmith. Not only has he solved my problems in the past but he is also open to really understanding the reason behind the problem and offering a reasonable fix for it. I was so happy with this locksmith services that I gave his number to the next tenant. Also if anyone ever tries to pull another trick like this with me I know that they would either automatically call the locksmith whom I told them about or do nothing about it. I can always check with my guy if he indeed got a call from my apartment.
