Thrifty Supply is a local, northwest privately held company that began in 1951 as a plumbing wholesale operation. In 1976 the company purchased Interstate Manufacturing, a manufacturer of sheet metal furnace pipe and fittings. These products were distributed out of the same facilities as the plumbing products.

In 1985 there was a new direction in leadership that led to Thrifty Supply exiting the plumbing wholesale business and focusing entirely on heating and air conditioning products. The company added a complete line of HVAC equipment and quickly found a niche as a full service wholesaler to the small and mid-sized heating and air conditioning contractors.

Thrifty Supply presently has 9 branches across 4 states; California, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, and serves the residential and light commercial markets with both equipment and associated products
