The Beacon Mutual Insurance Company is the premier writer of workers’ compensation insurance within the State of Rhode Island. Chartered by the state in 1990, we are a mutual workers’ compensation insurance carrier with over 12,000 policyholders and 60% of the workers’ compensation insurance market - serving both the competitive and residual markets. We are financially secure with approximately $400M in admitted assets and we return excess surplus to our policyholders in the form of lower premiums and/or dividends.

Headquartered in Warwick, we are able to assist our policyholders in all aspects of their coverage needs: underwriting policies with fair and accurate premiums, facilitating safe workplace environments through world-class loss prevention services, and managing claims with local and experienced adjusters.
